King David was facing a great challenge in his life when he wrote Psalm 68. In this Psalm he reminded himself that God was greater than any enemy. He echoed the words of Moses from Numbers 10:35 and called upon God to arise and scatter His enemies. These enemies were opposing His people and His will for His people.
“And it came to pass when the ark set forward, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.” Numbers 10:35 (KJV)
Enemies were in the path of the ark and in order to move forward GOD had to scatter the enemies. This is still true in our lives today. Enemies are set in our path and they want to keep us from moving forward. Our ultimate adversary, the devil, walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.
Satan (the devil) has been attacking man since creation. He has taken his demonic assault to new levels. Just when you think you got the devil in check he comes at you a different way. He uses the element of surprise and the sneak attack. Satan is the father of all deceit and lies.
Let GOD arise and let his enemies be scattered. This is a battle cry and we are in a warfare! If you do not believe that you are in a warfare, then you are deceiving yourself. We are in a spiritual warfare! Some are in a warfare on the battlefield of their mind, but through Jesus Christ we are guaranteed the victory!
When we let God arise, nothing can stand in His way. Even when you cannot see Him, He is still working. When we are facing challenges and celebrating victories, we need to remember what God has done in our lives and what He brought us through...deliverance and victory over our enemies!
LET GOD ARISE!
