In the passage of scripture, the passengers aboard the ship were facing a rough voyage. The sea was stormy and the waves were raging to the point, the passengers were unsure if they were going to make it to land alive. After fasting and seeking God, Paul gave the passengers a word of the Lord that their lives would be saved but they needed to hold on to fragments of the ship in order to get to land safe. “And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.” Acts 27:22 (NKJV)
Some of you are facing some tempestuous winds of life. It’s imperative in this season that you do not allow the enemy to side track you and get you off course. As a result of the storm, you may lose some things on this journey; but nothing that God cannot restore. The winds may be blowing so hard that you may think the Word of God spoken over your life at the top of the year is not coming to past. The devil is liar! God’s word will come to pass but it’s imperative that you stay in the place that God has called you. Remain in prayer and stay in position. You may have lost so much like the passengers on the ship, that all you have left is the word of God. Amidst the storm, take the Word of God and continue to trust Him.
Understand that God allowed the storm and if all things work together for the good of them that are in Christ Jesus, then there is some good in the storm. Allow God to process and prepare you. Allow the storm to purge out of your flesh everything that the enemy would try to use later to destroy your ministry. Stay on the altar of purification and worship.
Sometimes frustration can settle in because things are not going exactly how you want them but they are going exactly how God intended. God has your open door that no man can shut. But in order to walk through the door you have to become like Alice in Wonderland. Get small enough to fit through God’s door. Be humble and God will do the exalting in due season, and understand that every door is not from God. Continue to trust God!
